For Kathy and her family, one key to living healthier is being organized a little bit of planning goes a long way. Just as important is being pragmatic about healthy eating and fitness, because setting realistic goals that fit your family’s lifestyle will give you a better chance at succeeding.

Lunches & Snacks
Lunches & Snacks
Start with lunches and snacks, because those are the meal occasions that moms generally have the least control over.
I have more control over what everyone is eating at breakfast and dinner because generally we are home together, but lunch and snacks prove to be a challenge. This is the time of day when we are scattered at school, the home office or with clients and faced with a wide range of unhealthy temptations.
Be Realistic
Kathy knows that if they won’t eat it, it doesn’t matter how healthy it is.
I'm realistic about what the boys will eat. I know that if their friends are eating pizza they aren't going to be satisfied with a veggie sandwich. My family is happy because their sandwiches taste fantastic and I'm happy because I know I'm giving them a healthier alternative.

Fitness & Activity
Fitness & Activity
For Kathy and her family, simply keeping active together is important and the easiest part of her family’s life balance.
We take the dogs for hikes together, kick the soccer ball around in the backyard, go for after dinner bike rides keeping the boys active is fun and it's a great way for my husband and me to stay fit as well.
Be Organized,
Get More You Time
Get More You Time
Being organized and choosing convenient healthy products ends up giving you more you time.
It allows me to read a book, get a workout in, get together with friends or even have a date night with my husband. When I'm not worrying about being perfect I feel in control and I'm happier in every aspect of my life.
